Rúna Thors, assistant professor of product design, takes guests on guided photographs from an exhibition she co-directed with Hildi Steinthórsdóttir. Experiment - Æðarrækt is a research project that began in 2019. The eider and eider farmers have developed a unique relationship with each other based on friendship and mutual trust and is for the benefit of both parties. The eider farmer protects the bird against wolf and receives the reward of the down of the bird, one of the best insulating materials in the world. If the down is not picked, it goes to the fore. The artists in the exhibition had diverse backgrounds in art, design, performing arts, music and architecture.
