Pétur Gautur by Henrik Ibsen performed in his third year except for LHÍ's acting course
Norwegian playwright Henrik Ibsen wrote to Pétur Gaut in 1867. The work is one of his best-known works and has been translated and staged in all corners of the world. The play is based partly on Norwegian folklore and also to some extent on Henrik Ibsen's immediate childhood environment.
In the work, we follow Pétri Gaut as a young man in Norway, where he burns various bridges behind him and through his colorful and false life. The work raises questions about the Self and the Humanity In the third year's production except for LHÍ's acting course in Pétri Gaut, all the acting students Pétur Gaut play themselves as well as sharing a number of other roles of the work between them.
The project is carried out in 6 weeks and is part of a play interpretation course where the students deal with traditional play interpretation methods and co-creation methods in two different projects.
