Þorbjörg Daphne Hall, professor of musicology, and the research project she leads, Building Bridges Through Collaboration, hosted a conference on methods (e. pedagogy) in community-based music projects in York in November.
The conference was in collaboration with the International Center for Community Music and York St. John University. Sigrún Sævarsdóttir-Griffiths, part-time teacher at LHÍ and researcher in the research project, was a key speaker and led creative projects, and two master's students in the project, Sunna Guðlaugsdóttir and Cath Stephens, gave lectures.
The conference was an important contribution to the research project, as part of it relates to analyzing and understanding artistic work with diverse research methods The Building Bridges Through Collaboration research project is funded by the Research Fund of the Council of Science and Technology and is hosted by the Iceland Academy of the Arts.
