The Performing Arts Department of the Iceland Academy of the Arts is advertising for donations to Praxis, the LHÍ performing arts conference, which will be held for the second time on Saturday, March 29, 2025. The congress is a platform for artistic experiments, knowledge creation and dialogue between the professional forum and the university community. Thus, the congress is a place for the performing arts scene to come together and share methods, research, and think together for the future.
Praxis' 2025 theme is Directors on Directing - What/How/Why and applications shall include a CV and a 1-page brief on the subject of a talk and the reason for application Applications are open to all performing artists but it should be noted in the application how the contribution relates to Praxis's subject matter contributions are called for from the performing arts community, which may take the form of a lecture, workshop, seminar, work in progress, etc. Contributions shall be a maximum of 45 min through discussions. Participation in Praxis is not paid separately.
Applications are open until Friday, February 7, 2025, and they must be submitted in the form below.

Iceland University of the Arts Department of Performing Arts sees contributions for Praxis, IUA's Performing Arts Symposium, which will be held for the second time on Saturday March 29th 2025. The symposium is a platform for artistic experiments, knowledge creation and dialogue between the performing arts scene and the academy. Thus, the symposium comes a place for the Icelandic performing arts scene to come together, share methods and/or research, and look towards the future.
The theme of Praxis 2025 is Directors on Directing - What / How / Why and applications should include a CV and a 1-page statement on the topic of the proposal and the reason for the application. Applications are open to all performing artists and should state how the proposal records to the topic of Praxis. We are looking for contributions from the performing arts community, which can take the form of a lecture, workshop, seminar, work in progress, etc. Contributions should be a maximum of 45 minutes including discussion. There is no payment for participation in practice.
