There was a true festive atmosphere in the building of the Iceland University of the Arts in Stakkahlíðin last Saturday on the occasion of University Day in Reykjavík. The students and staff of the school welcomed around 600 interested guests who learned about the course offerings. As well, the students' work spaces and the building's workshop were open to visitors where student projects were on display and representatives of the study programs sat for answers and told about the activities.
The program was a tight problem, but the department of music provided live music during the day, the students of the art department put on an exhibition with recent student works, and the film arts department offered popcorn and a film screening to name a few. Then guests were able to enjoy freshly baked waffles and coffee.
