Recently, the board of the LHÍ hinterland advertised for candidates for the board of the University of the Arts. They received numerous strong applications and were chosen as difficult. The board came to a unanimous conclusion about the next representatives of the hinterland on the school's board.
Hildur Gunnlaugsdóttir, architect, will be the main member of the board

Jóhann G. Jóhannsson, actor, becomes a substitute.
The school's board is made up of 5 members for three years at a time. The Minister of Education nominates two people to the board, while three are elected at the general meeting Bakland Iceland University of the Arts.
The board safeguards the role of the school and makes sure that the activities serve set goals. It is responsible for operations, finances, assets and determines school fees. The board also hires the position of rector.
