Five academic staff have been promoted in their work The staff comes from four departments of the school, the Faculty of Architecture, the Faculty of Fine Arts, the Faculty of Art Education and the Faculty of Performing Arts Twice a year, the academic staff of the Iceland University of the Arts are given the opportunity to apply for career advancement. The qualification committee reviews the applications and the staff goes through a detailed professional assessment.
The following employees are promoted to the position of professor:
- Anna María Bogadóttir - Faculty of Architecture
- Carl Boutard - Faculty of Fine Arts
- Guðbjörg R. Jóhannesdóttir - art education department
- Katrín Gunnarsdóttir - Faculty of Performing Arts
- Kristín Valsdóttir - art education department
