The Creative Arts Research Center (RSG) in collaboration with CCP invites you to a conversation about creative industries on Thursday, January 9 at 8:30 - 10 in CCP's premises at Bjargargatu 1, 102 Reykjavík. The title of the meeting this time is Creative Methodology. The meeting will be held in English and talks will be streamed on Facebook.

At the meeting, Bergur Finnbogason, artistic director at CCP, will talk about CCP's cooperation with various international research institutions and how the methods of the game sector have benefited them. Vidar Halldórsson, professor of sociology at the University of Iceland, will discuss the importance of the social atmosphere, in the form of social magic, which he has analyzed with visual sociology in his book See the community. Katrín Ólína Pétursdóttir, designer and president of the design department of LHÍ, will discuss the project Primitiva, a research project in jewelry design that combines creative thinking with digital technology. She will tell how experiments and storytelling in different media in her career played a role in shaping her jewelry line.

Following the presentations, discussions will be opened among the attendees led by Anna Hildur Hildibrandsdóttir.
The conversation about creative industries is a series of informal meetings that RSG conducts in collaboration with CCP. With the series of meetings, RSG wants to create a dialogue platform for creative industry enthusiasts by connecting stakeholders in the private sector, the academy and from institutions and the administration, thus promoting the discussion about culture and creative industries.

The topic of this meeting is Creative Research Methods. The meeting will be held in English and the presentations will be streamed on Facebook.

Vidar Halldórsson, sociology professor at the University of Iceland, will focus on the importance of social atmosphere, in the form of social magic, which he has analyzed through visual society in his book Unveiling the Invisible. Katrín Ólína Pétursdóttir, designer and Head of Design Department of LHÍ, will explore the evolution of Primitiva, a jewellery design project that hybrid creativity and machine precision, and share how you have received information and information management, and share how you have information and information management.
Following the presentations, attendees are invited to participate in a discussion on the subject, led by Anna Hildur Hildibrandsdóttir.

Dialogue on Creative Industries is a series of formal meetings organized by RSG in cooperation with CCP. Through this series, RSG aims to create a forum for discussion among those interesting in creative industries by connecting drivers from the private sector, academia, as well as institutions and government, and thereby promoting the dialogue on culture and creative industries.
