Please note that when handling candidacies, the board of the hinterland is obliged to take into account the company's laws, more specifically:
• The Board of the Bakland annually elects from the submitted candidates one main member and one deputy to the LHÍ board for a three-year term. The majority of votes cast is decisive. If there are a tie, the chairman of the Bakland will hold an odd vote. A board member of the LHÍ board can serve a maximum of two consecutive terms.
• When deciding on representatives on the board of LHÍ, it must be held in high regard that said representatives must be active and/or recognized artists of the MEDIA and/or academics in the professional fields of LHÍ. Managers of cultural institutions and business life are also eligible to sit on the board of LHÍ.
• When deciding on a representative for a board seat in LHÍ, the Bakland's board must take care of the professional balance between disciplines in accordance with the goals and needs of LHÍ at any given time.
• Permanent employees, LHÍ students and those who have financial interests, cf. LHÍ charter and the rules of procedure of the LHÍ board do not have the opportunity to sit on the LHÍ board.
To maintain a professional balance, we would like to remind you that current representatives have expertise in the field of architecture and design, on the one hand, and performing arts, on the other. To ensure a professional balance between disciplines, which is the duty of the hinterland, we especially encourage people with knowledge in the field of film, art or music to submit a candidacy.
