This year, the project Misvírði was carried out for the tenth time by students in fashion design in the 2nd year at the Iceland University of the Arts in collaboration with the Icelandic Red Cross Clothing Collection.
Its aim is to investigate ways to create new clothing from unsaleable garments.Using the knowledge and methodology of design to bring new life to old garments and fabrics, while drawing attention to the overproduction and textile waste we live in today.
To celebrate this turning point, an exhibition has been set up in Norræna Húsin, which was opened last November 22 and will last until December 15. at the exhibition you can find fashion photographs of students' projects of the last ten years, video recordings of the fashion shows, videos from the students' workshop, workbooks from the project together with photographs showing the work behind the scenes.
