UNCAPTURING DISPLAY is a modifiable font that examines the relationship between machines and human identity The font is displayed in an experimental, interactive installation The font oscillates between familiarity and foreignness The font is inspired by CAPTCHA tests, the Turing test, Gothic font shapes and the Unusanny valley.)

Visitors solve a CAPTCHA test that requires confirmation of humanity They next enter a single word describing their humanity, which is added in real time to the exhibition wall The work highlights the fragile meaning, readability, and identity in the digital world It encourages us to resist being reduced to data and instead leave something personal and indisputably human.

UNCAPTURING DISPLAY is a variable typeface that displays the relationship between machines and human identity. The typeface is presented in an experimental interactive installation. The typeface displays between familiarity and strangeness. Inspired by CAPTCHA tests, the project highlights the fragility of their human environment and environmental conditions.
