BA New Media Composition
Haukur Ingólfsson began studying music at Neskaupstaðar Music School at the age of 8 and studied drumming there for almost a decade. After a long break from studying music, the University of the Arts took over, but this spring Haukur will graduate with a bachelor's degree in New Media Music Composition. From a young age, he worked as a drummer around the East on various occasions with a number of bands, including dances, musicals, concert series and as a percussionist at the founding concert of the Eastern Symphony Orchestra. Shortly after moving to Reykjavík in 2020, he started creating his own music and began studying at LHÍ in the fall of 2023. In the summer of 2024, he and Katla Heimisdóttir hosted a live sound installation at Innsævi, Fjarðabyggðar's art festival, takes photographs on film, works on his own music creation and plays drums with the rock band Moogie & Boogi.
