Matthías Helgi has completed his advanced degree in both classical and rhythmic guitar playing at Garðabær's Music School. There he took part in various interludes and masterclasses, as well as being in Garðabær's Music School's Big Band. He has also taken up teaching there for the past three years alongside his studies at the University of the Arts. Matthías has participated in a number of projects organized by the University of the Arts, but also outside the school. Among them, he took part in organizing Räkkvuna, a new art festival organized by Garðabær.
