Þórhildur Hólmgeirsdóttir
Þórhildur Hólmgeirsdóttir grew up in Stykkishólmi and studied piano there with her father, Hólmgeir Sturla Þórsteinsson from the age of 7 until she went to the Akureyri High School at the age of 16. Her teacher in a music course in MA was Þórarinn Stefánsson. After her secondary exam and graduation at the Music School in Akureyri, she started studying at the Iceland Academy of the Arts under the guidance of Peter Máté and Edda Erlendsdóttir.
Þórhildur has participated in many courses and projects at the University of the Arts. These include Crossing Keyboards, where she played concerts in Estonia, Latvia, Finland and Sweden. Þórhildur has also attended master classes with guest teachers who have visited LHÍ.
Þórhildur is now aiming for continued studies in music, where she emphasizes theater and musical music.
