Jóna Gréta Hilmarsdóttir

Jóna Gréta completed her BA in film studies with a minor in gender studies in the spring of 2021 and since then has worked as a film critic at Morgunblaðin. In her studies at the Iceland Academy of the Arts, she focused on directing and producing. Along with her studies, she has produced various projects, including short films for NYU, MetFilm School and Columbia University. In addition, she works for the production company Norður.

Short film: Snowy

On a traditional work day in the sheepfold, the dictatorial farmer Þormar is caught in an avalanche. Lying trapped under the snow, he fears not only for his own life but also for the fate of his wife, Hrafnhilda, and their son, Aaron.
