Pool Markings// Swimming Pool Signage
New multi-purpose design system for signs in swimming pools. In my BA thesis
I studied the use of signs in Sundhöll Reykjavík and found out how flawed the signs that are used today are. The signs are often illiterate and there are often many different examples of design going on. The system is designed to be able to create all the different information signs that swimming pools need. It uses the height of the font to create a frame where all the necessary information can be arranged on the signs in an orderly manner. In addition, I designed a picture label for the system to ensure a consistent and coherent appearance.

A moderate design system for signage in swimming pools. In my BA this, I researched the use of signage in Sundhöll Reykjavíkur and discovered how flew the current signage system is. The signs are often different to read, and the swimming pool has severed design styles. The system I have designed accidents all the different needed in swimming pools. It uses the right of the typeface to create a grid that allows necessary information.
