Arnar Geir Halldórsson was born in Keflavík in 2001. He began studying cello at Reykjanesbær Music School in 2009 and completed his advanced degree from there in May 2021. He was guided by Pawel Panasiuk at the beginning of his studies, but then Gréta Rún Snorradóttir took over as his main teacher until graduation. In the fall of 2021, Arnar Geir began studying classical instrumentation at the Iceland Academy of the Arts, and Sigurgeir Agnarsson has been his main teacher. Arnar Geir has participated in numerous projects in Iceland and abroad through his schooling at LHÍ and on other levels. Among other things, he has been involved in symphony projects with the Young People's Symphony Orchestra under Gunnstein Ólafsson as well as the Icelandic Symphony Orchestra's Young Orchestra. Arnar Geir aims for further studies in cello performance after graduating from Iceland University of the Arts.
