Where does a narrative come from? Fracture landing is an original work about the companions Albert and Bezos who crash land their spaceship in an unknown place and have to embark on a fateful journey to find their way home. The work is a visual pilot that studies the formation of narrative in the world of comic books In the project, I explore how the subject of the stories can influence their form and how the execution can, in return, influence the development of the story.

The book's metabolism is called theoretical language leporello or an accordion fragment The story can thereby lay on one unbroken page from beginning to end, forming a kind of refil. In Offshore the landscape of the story lies on this refil and forms the basis of the narrative. Over the refil, frames lie with more defined scenes that weave the narrative into a whole.

Where does a narrative begin?

Fracture landing is an original story about the companies Albert and Bezóar, who crash-land their spaceship in an unfamiliar place and must set out on a fateful journey to find their way back home.  

The project is a visual experiment that explores the formation of a story within the world of comic books. In the project, I exam how the subject matter of stories can influence their form, and how the execution, in turn, can affect the development of the story.

The book's format is what is known as a leporello or an accordion fold. This structure allows the story to unfold across a single, unbroken page, creating a kind of tapestry. In Fracture landing, the landscape stretch along this tapestry, forming the foundation of the narrative. Over this landscape, frames containing more defined scenes are laid, weaving the story into a unified narrative.
