“SAVE YOUR ACTIVISM FOR SUNDAY” // “ALLE SYNES PLANTER IS TOPP!” is a playable archive covering protests and activism by KMD students that were committed to show solidarity with Palestine and oppose the ongoing genocide It also discusses how the art institute KMD, Bergen University of the Arts which is a sub-institution of the University of Bergen, responded in accordance with the „neutral“ stance of the Norwegian government.

The board game has already been set up and played at KHiO, Oslo University of the Arts, with the participation of students, teachers and administrators It is the basis for the video work, which also contains material from the archive on which the board game is based.

The project is a collaborative project that spans two art universities in two countries. While Nete is graduating from LHÍ, Margrethe graduates simultaneously from KMD in Norway, where they both started BA in 2023.

The board game will be played in Norway and Iceland, Wednesday, May 13, at 14.00. Participants will play the role of art students who practice activism.

Interactive boardgame and accompanying video

“SAVE YOUR ACTIVISM FOR SUNDAY” // “ALLE SYNES PLANTER IS TOP!” is a playable
archive covering student protest and activism carried out in solidarity with Palestine, to speak up against the ongoing genocide. It also covers how the art institution KMD, The Art Academy in Bergen, under UiB, the University of Bergen, supported in line with the Norwegian government's “neutral” position.

The boardgame has already been played at KHiO, the art academy in Oslo, by students, professors and administration. This laid the basis for the video piece, also featuring material from the archive that the boardgame is built on.

This project is a collaboration spanning across two art academies in two countries. While Nete is grading from LHÍ, Margrethe is simultaneously grading from KMD in Norway, where they both started their BA in 2023.

The boardgame will be performed in Norway and in Iceland, on Wednesday the 13th of May at 2pm. Participants will be playing as art students carrying out student activism.
