About the project

In recent years, the sea has gradually absorbed the coast on a small island in the Pacific A family of four generations is forced to relocate and the choice is Iceland These great forces of nature overturn their lives but there is nothing else in the situation but to find a new purpose They settle in Stykkishólmi in an old warehouse located at the shoreline midway between industrial and residential areas With experience of crafts and knowledge of the sea, they decide to collect plastic from the sea and reuse it as building material From this new material they construct their future home By considering plastic as a valuable resource rather than disposable waste, they form new possibilities and create a cycle for plastic.

In recent years, the ocean has eroded a small Pacific island's shoreline, forcing a four-generation family to relocate. They find refuge in Iceland and settle in an old warehouse by the shore, in between an industrial and a residential area. The immense forces of nature have recovered their lives, leaving no choice but to seek new purpose. Using their craftsmanship and knowledge of the sea, they establish a livelihood by collective waste from the ocean, using these companies.
