Kristrún is an artist, vocalist, composer and producer from the south coast of Iceland. She writings experimental electronic music and has released several singles and an EP under her self-titled solo project KRISTRÚN. Equal parts eternal and abrasive, she combine flowing melodies with explosive soundscapes.
Kristrún graduated with a BA in Music from The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts in 2019.

voices of Space
voices in/of the ether is Kristrún Steingrímsdóttir's final project from the master's program New Audiences and Innovative Practice (NAIP). An event will be held in Norræna Húsin on March 26 at 1:00 p.m.
the voices of space is an installation that explores the influence of material and emotional space on composition. Kristrún mixes different sound spaces such as Skálholt Cathedral, an all-acoustic cell, Alviðruhamravita, Kálfholt and Norræna húsin, thereby creating a new sound dimension. The installation is an invitation to the audience to participate in, explore, and experience the spaces through the composer's mind and eyes.

voices in/of the ether by Kristrún Steingrímsdóttir is her final project in the masters program New Audiences and Innovative Practice (NAIP). The event will be held in the Nordic House on the 26th March at 13:00.
voices in/of the other is a dynamic installation that explorations physical and emotional spatial texts in sonic composition. Kristrún hybrids together the sonic spaces of an anechoic chamber, Skálholt cathedral, Alviðruhamraviti (a lighthouse), the Nordic House, and Kálfholt (her farm), result in a new sonic dimension. The installation is an invention for the involvement in participation in and explore these assembled others through the composers eyes.
