Birgir Stefánsson started singing at the Singing School in Reykjavík and graduated from there in 8th grade in 2019. His singing teachers there were Bergthór Pálsson, Egill Árni Pálsson and Garðar Cortes.
Birgir stayed in Vienna in the winter of 2019-2020, where he studied singing under the guidance of conductor Marc Tardue. Birgir is now similar to a bachelor's degree at the Iceland Academy of the Arts. There are his singing teachers, Dísella Lárusdóttir, Hanna Dóra Sturludóttir and Kristinn Sigmundsson as well as Kolbein Ketilsson and Ryan Driscoll. Birgir has participated in various student productions organized by the University of the Arts and played roles of various kinds, including, Tamino in Töfraflautuni by WA Mozart and Gabríel von Eisenstein from the Leather Bat by Johann Strauss II. Birgir also performed the role of Fenton from the opera Falstaff by G.Verdi in the middle of the second and third academic year in the summer of 2023 organized by La musica Lirica.
