In the first issue of the magazine Wake up er skoðað samband íslenskrar hönnunar og náttúru. Fylgir náttúran okkur í öllu sem við gerum sem íslenskir hönnuðir, hvort sem það er meðvitað eða ómeðvitað? Hvort sem það er frá hrjúfum brúnum hraunsins eða til hreyfinga hafsins? Náttúran er stöðugur innblástur og við erum órjúfanlegur hluti af náttúrunni, þótt sumir upplifi sig aftengd. Hönnun styrkir þessi tengsl í gegnum upplifun, efni, áferðir og form. Með því að para saman leturgerðir, notkun á hvítu rými og uppsetningu ljósmynda og viðtala myndast flæði sem endurspeglar tengsl hönnunar og náttúru.
The first issue of the magazine Wake up explorores the relationship between Icelandic design and Icelandic nature. Does nature accessany us in everything we do as Icelandic designers, whether consciously or unconscientiously? From the rugged edges of lava to the movements of the ocean, nature is a constant source of inspiration and we are an insparable part of nature, even if some may discuss disconnected. Design has the power to stringhen these times through experiences, materials, texts and forms. By pairing types, posting photographs and interviews, a certain rhythm is created through traffic Wake up that reflects the connection between design and nature.
