Open time in Dynjanda: Guinean music, drumming and singing

Wednesday, September 16 at At 11:45 there will be an open class in Dynjanda after the first part of the course Leading and Guiding, which is part of the NAIP master's program at department of music Iceland University of the Arts.

The subject of the course in the first few weeks has been music from Guinea, West Africa At present, there is a group of musicians and dancers from this country Ballet Merveilles de Guinée, under board Mamady Sano. The visit is part of a joint project between the group and the Academy of Arts that has been going on for three years.

During the course, students have participated in workshops in Guinean music, drumming and singing. On Wednesday will Leading and Guiding the class shows the results of the work in open time in Dynjanda.
