Department of Music Iceland University of the Arts recently received a nice visit from Love Synthesizers, which brought the department a copy of the Icelandic synthesizer FIRST LOVE as a gift. The instrument will be useful to the students of the department in learning and creativity

Love Synthesizers has had a good collaboration with LHÍ. The company has, among other things, taken inspiration from the research project Intelligent Instruments and Department of Arts Educationar. The company's relationship with LHÍ also goes back to its beginning, but the final project of one of the founders of Love Synthesizers at Department of Arts Education partly flowed into the design and development of FIRST LOVE.

Former students of the University of the Arts have also been involved in the development of the instrument. Ronja Jóhannsdóttir, a former student of LHÍ, was part of the programming team of FIRST LOVE and one of the main programmers of the sound machine and its sound effects.

FIRST LOVE hits stores in Europe and North America on October 30. For that reason, there will be a release party in Austurbæjarbíó on the same evening at 22. Among other things, former LHÍ students will perform, including Knackered and Inspector Spacetime. All students are invited and admission is free.
