On Wednesday, November 4, Iceland University of the Arts held a consultation meeting with the school's partners and stakeholders about the future of the University of the Arts and the development of higher education in the arts. The purpose of the consultation was to listen to different perspectives, bring forth new ideas, and create a platform for dialogue on how Iceland University of the Arts and higher education in the arts can develop and thrive in the coming years.

Dialogue with the community

The consultation is part of the school's ongoing dialogue with the community, the arts professional field, and other stakeholders. The Iceland University of the Arts 2024–2028 strategy emphasizes, among other things, that the school be a driving force in a constantly changing world, strengthen its ties to the community and professional fields, and develop its academic offerings in dialogue with cultural institutions, professional associations, and the business community.

In parallel with the meeting, the Academy of Fine Arts solicited stakeholder perspectives in a consultation survey, and those results were presented at the meeting.

The results of the consultation are an important input into the ongoing discussion and policymaking about the role of the University of the Arts, the development of its programs, and the school's relationship with the community in the years to come.

The Art University thanks you for your good attendance and positive feedback on the survey.
