Manuscript: The children at Sævarenda
Article: horror, feature film
The children of Sævarenda is a gloomy and exciting horror that takes place in Garðabær, a quiet and well-to-do neighborhood in Iceland. The story revolves around Ölba, a 17-year-old girl who has a difficult relationship with her controlling parents and gets the feeling that something serious is wrong - both at home and inside herself. When Magnea, Ölba's best friend from childhood, dies under suspicious circumstances, Alba is sucked into a horrible search for answers. She begins to lose track of reality when old wounds are inflated, strange symbols appear everywhere and the memories of the past - and her feelings towards Magnea - are entangled with something dark and terrifying. Alba is forced to delve deeper to find herself in a conspiracy that stretches far beyond the family and changes everything she thought was true.
