Vala Yates, the composer of the work, has experienced countless spiritual journeys herself. “Deep meditation, inner journey, spiritual journey, inner contemplation”, whatever we call it, is an experience that can be accessed by connecting inwardly and diving into the depths of the subconscious There are many things hidden there that we do not notice, until we therefore provide this space Then many things can come to the surface of our consciousness, where we see it, feel, hear and even understand This practice can help us understand ourselves better, and even change something in our behavior/patterns or thoughts. The choice to change something in our lives, and decide to make different decisions than we have so far done.
In recent years, there has been a lot of discussion about using mind-altering substances to shorten your way into this situation where subconscious and superconscious meet. It certainly works, it is possible to use this method. But it is also possible by getting into a deep relaxation state in one way or another.
In this composition, Vala seeks to emulate such a journey, thus creating a space for visitors to experience such a journey together, in the same space, at the same time Whether the journey evokes familiar feelings of your former travels, or gives you new insights and experiences, it hopefully deeply affects you and moves you, deep in the subconscious And returns you to a state of deep relaxation, with deep stillness and inner calm.

is a musical experience, in which Vala Yates seeks to recreate a deep inner journey - where subconscious and superconscious meet.
The composition arose from Vala's research on the relaxation of the nervous system and the effect meditation has on the functioning of the brain, and is part of her graduation project from a master's program at the Iceland Academy of the Arts (NAIP; Creativity, communication and entrepreneurship).
Shine - Home is an electronic piece played from speakers, while Vala, along with several instrumentalists will improvise “live” over the electronic piece.
