The work is for two rhythm bands and a mixed group of improvisational musicians.
Tumi Árnason
Tumi Árnason is an instrumentalist and composer. He has been widely involved in Icelandic music life, played on a number of records, composed music for films and theaters, participated in visual works and performances, and played at events where the boundaries of the music are explored. Two LPs with his duo and Magnús Trygvasonar Eliassen have been released, most recently „Gleypir tígur gleypir ljón“ in the fall of 2023, but the album was chosen as jazz album of the year in Morgunblaðin. Tumi won an award for composition of the year in the jazz category at the Icelandic Music Awards in 2022 for his album Hlynun.
