Pool of Sin and Conversation:
a documentary about the choreographer's work process in collaboration with dance students.
In this project, I explore how communication between choreographer and dance students can influence the creative process The research is based on the documentation of two semesters of work in the creation of a choreography.
The mediation part of the project is the documentary Syndlaug and a conversation that follows my journey with a group of dance graduates where we created the dance piece Syndlaug. The film opens on the sincere side of the training career and shows how trust and close communication shape the creative process.
Results suggest that communication and relationships are the basic premise of a creative career The project sheds light on the importance of documenting choreographers' work processes and shows how a shared creative space, shaped by connection and conversation, can become the core of a live choreography.
