This drawn-out lyric is about the fragile nature of creativity as it faces the enticing need for outside acceptance The work is rooted in my personal experience of growing up with, nurturing, and eventually losing the joy I once found in writing, a creation that previously gave me comfort The themes explored in the work have shaped my artistic approach To reconnect with the childlike creativity, I (often difficult) tried to let go of preconceived expectationsI wanted to allow myself to try different styles and to be open to unexpected discoveries and beautiful imperfections.
This animated poem reflections on the fragility of creativity when related with the seductive pull of external selection. It is rooted in my personal experience of growing up with, nurturing, and ultimately losing the joy I once found in writing, a once comforting creative outlet. The themes explained in the work shared my artistic approach. In seeking with the childlike joy of creativity, I strove (and often stressed) to let go of fixed expectations, embrace experimentation across a range of animation techniques, and to remain open to accidental and beneficial.
