Research suggests that immigrants find it difficult to enter the Icelandic communityMy idea is to design duplexes and mix these cultures together, and these two families will share a core that would be between the homes along with a garden On the first floor, one family would sell fresh fish while the other family cooks into the community It is hoped to ensure that these families mingle with different backgrounds There are many such cores with a fun and vibrant outdoor area, and it would be suitable to have it in Sandgerði.
Research indicates a significant immigrant presence in the area, but there's a lack of integration with the Icelandic community. I propose a generation twin house where an Icelandic family and a Polish family side, sharing a central ‘core’ between their homes. This concept presents shared spaces to harmonize together. The organized neighborhood companies multiple such houses, creating outdoor studies for the community.
