Premiering in 1901, three sisters is one of Anton Chekhov's best-known plays The work is about sisters Olga, Maria and Irina and their brother Andrei who live in a small Russian town and aspire to get back to Moscow Under the surface of everyday life, the characters deal with hopes, love, disappointment, loneliness and the feeling that the life they dream of is constantly moving away.

Students work under the guidance of Agnar Jón Egilsson, associate professor at LHÍ and professional director of the acting program. The set, costumes and the entire setting of the show are in the hands of the theater group. The production is part of the acting program of the Performing Arts Department of LHÍ, within the course Play Interpretation V.
