Champions of the Harmonica | Astor Piazzolla - Tango Nuevo
On April 18 at 20, some of the world's leading accordion and bandone players Prof. Dr. Klaudiusz Baran (Poland), Prof. Raimondas Sviackevičius (Lithuania), Prof. Giuseppe Scigliano (Italy), German Khlopin (Iceland) together with cellist Steiney Sigurðardóttir and the quartet Icelandic Strings Together they perform the compositions of Master Astor Piazzolla who created Tango Nuevo and completely changed the world view of the tango.
The concert's repertoire includes some of Piazzolla's most beautiful and well-known works; Libertango, Oblivion, Adios Nonino, Le Grand Tango and others The evening's presenter is Paolo Picchio, one of the world's leading Piazzollologists.
This is a unique opportunity to experience the accordion and the bandoneon in the hands of the masters.
The concert is a collaboration between the Iceland Academy of the Arts and the Hall Music Hall.
