The pre-listening party for the coming album Demonic Activity by Þórður Ingi Jónsson (aka Lord Pusswhip), graduating MA student in the NAIP course (New Audiences and Innovative Practices) will be held in the Driving hall of the Faculty of Music at the Iceland University of the Arts on Tuesday, September 8th.
The event will officially begin at 5:00 PM, with an improvised live performance entitled „Acid Acetate“, which aptly shows the artist's playful approach".
The performance involves the use of plunderphonics to re-score the 1970 experimental film „Invocation of My Demon Brother“ by Kenneth Anger via live improvisation After the performance, the album „Demonic Activity“, his final project at LHÍ, which has been in the works over the past decade, will be played in its entirety while the buildings will flow.
Þórður Ingi Jónsson aka Lord Pusswhip is an Icelandic musician, producer, DJ, vocalist and multidisciplinary artist. The album Demonic Activity has been in the works over the last decade. The album shows solo vocal work from the artist, with a few features from guest vocalists and producers as well.
