When Bessíar's husband dies, she begins to see a ghost that she is convinced is her great-grandmother. The ghost tells her that it is time to change. Bessí listens to her and it will be the beginning of new adventures. Life leads Bessí to Sandgerði with her new husband and other family members. They start there with the production of Icelandic linen, grow it, color and sew it. Bessí still sees her great grandmother from time to time, she is proud of her.
