After spending an entire school semester researching the history of banknotes and their production for my B.A. thesis, I wanted to dig deeper and answer the question: „could I redo a banknote from scratch with the limited resources I have access to?“ I gave it a try but it was easier said than done It took me about 100 hours to redraw the note and the intaglio printing method almost did away with me The final result is far from perfect but the process was nevertheless instructive Here it is shown in its entirety as a book collection Banknote design is a very complex and detailed process and not without reason.
