The trigger for the collection came to me in my daily life In my friend's music studio hang photographs that piqued my interest, all from the same series by Sigurgeir Sigurjónsson The subjects are abandoned buildings, half-down demolished houses and construction sites. There is also a lot of graffiti in the pictures that I ended up taking inspiration from. From this trigger, I decided to use work clothes as the subject of the collection. I looked at the history of work clothes and took inspiration from here and there, for example from the dock work clothes and coal mining work clothes. I still had as a goal from the beginning that the mood of the collection was mostly inspired by the house ruins I was fascinated by.
