If the Icelandic language supported the fact that nature is alive, would we behave differently towards the environment? The work provides insight into the new context of the Icelandic language, where the vast majority of Western languages objectify nature and speak of it as a dead object. The vital energy of water, the natural phenomenon most abused in Iceland, is studied and a new discourse about water is planted. Special watering tools transform nouns into verbs, but by unleashing nouns, we unleash the water, from the shackles of language that binds it down. Unlike nouns, verbs take into account the vital energy of nature and at the same time the possibility that the water may change its behavior at any moment.
