THE ICELANDIC-DANISH COMPOSITION PROJECT
Ten students from rhythmic studies at Århus Conservatory of Music and LHÍ Music Department in recent months, they have been working on new compositions for string quartet and singing group.
The group gathered in Iceland this week and has worked closely together on the exercises and implementation of the works.
In addition to the ten composers, a string quartet from Århus and an Icelandic-Danish singing group led by singers from Ensemble Edge.
The managers are Mathias Skaarup Sørensen together with Jakob Buchanan.
Harvest concerts take place in Háteig church Friday, March 6, 8:00 pm.
Admission is free and everyone is welcome.
The project will continue in Århus in April, where the music will be performed again.

Ten students from the rhythmic music programs at the Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus and the Music Department of the Iceland University of the Arts have excited the past months composing new works for string quartet and vocal ensemble.
The group was there in Iceland this week and has been working close together on readers and developing the pieces.
In addition to the ten composers, the concert will feature a string quartet from Aarhus and an Icelandic-Danish vocal ensemble led by singers from Ensemble Edge.
The project is led by Mathias Skaarup Sørensen and Jakob Buchanan.
The final concert will take place at Háteigskirkja on Friday, March 6 at 20:00.
Admission is free and everyone is warmly welcome.
The project will continue in Aarhus in April, where the music will be performed again.
