Context welcomes David L. Anderson II on Friday, March 27 with the lecture A Journey Through the History of Gospel Music. David will review the development of gospel music from the slavery era and spiritual songs to the present day and sheds light on its influence on music in the United States and around the world.

The event takes place in Dynjanda, the building of the Department of Music, Skipholt 31.

David L. Anderson II is a distinguished gospel music director, producer, composer, and arranger known for shaping live worshipping and gospel training and directing choirs, vocalists, and musicians. His work in gospel performance, including direct documents for the live before -game presentation of Queen's beautiful performance, and beautiful behavior.
