Directed by Dr Mirian Khukhunaishvili, the program is designed for musicians without any experience in conducting and conductors with limited conducting experience, who wish to improve their conducting skills.

The course consists of two one-week programs:
Students participating in this program will learn basic conducting and score study techniques. The course offers each student in total 45-60 min. podium time with a piano accompanist. Two guest lecturers (a composer and an orchestral musician) will share their experiences in a professional world while collaborating with conductors.
Students are expected to be familiar with the repertoire prior to coming to the programme.
There are feedback sessions after each workshop.
The workshops will be focused on the improvement of conducting technique, embodiment and musical characterisation of the students. The course offers each student in total 75-90 min. podium time with the piano accompanist and the string quartet. The participants will gain skills on how to choose a repertoire for a concert and planning rehearsals. The guest soloist will share her/his experience about collaborating with a conductor and an orchestra. There will be a lecture about the dynamics of the music industry.
Students will have to study the repertoire prior to coming to the programme. There are feedback sessions after each workshop.
Note: Musicians with conducting experience may join Program 2 without attending Program 1.
