Arnhildur Pálmadóttir gave an online lecture as a part of the Sneiðmynd lecture series, on Tuesday April 12th at 12:10. 

 

Arnhildur Pálmadóttir architect graduated from the Iceland University of the Arts in 2006 with a BA degree in architecture.
Before that she had worked as a 3d visualizer and technical drawer at engineering and architectural firms in Iceland and Norway. After her BA studies, Arnhildur continued her studies at the Barcelona school of architecture - ETSAB but later completed a master's degree from the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia. Today Arnhildur runs the architectural firm s. ap architects who works on the boundaries of traditional and speculative projects. In her lecture "Broken systems", Arnhildur discusses her projects and their relations to architecture in times of climate change, how she uses stories parallel to her design to bypass current systems that do not work and how stories and interdisciplinary collaboration could be the key to saving the planet.
