Appearing in the movement of water is a solo piece where lines are traced in between what seems isolated, creating ephemeral sculptures and live images with everyday life objects and elements from the surroundings. In this performance, body and elements brings to the space questions concerning mobility, orientation, territories, and the female body. These questions appear and disappear over time, going from the abstract to the concrete and from micro to macro scale. During the performance, questions and elements, such as oranges, fans, electric wires, lemons, among others, are explored through a poetical and sensorial approach which creates a visual landscape that shares a common ground between the visual arts and the performing arts.

Bio: Michelle is graduating from the MFA in Performing Arts at the Iceland University of the Arts. Michelle has a BA in Visual Arts from ENPEG La Esmeralda in Mexico City with an academic exchange in the École de Recherche Graphique in Brussels.
As media, she uses movement practices, drawing, installation, performance, video and photography, exploring a common platform between visual and the performing arts. In her work, she deals with questions concerning the construction and representation of the female body and it´s relation to its context, where no place, circumstance, or situation is isolated from each other. Michelle is interested in exploring poetical approaches in her work through creating live movement images.
Since 2012, she´s being collaborating in art exhibitions, artistic researches, curatorial projects, documentary theater perfomances, editorial projects and educational mediation for contemporary art museums in Mexico as well as Colombia, United States, Iceland, Belgium, and Austria.
