The building is low-rise and is shaped by the lines of the landscape, where two building cores form a shelter without breaking the connection with nature and the view of the town.<\/p>\n<p>In times of heightened loneliness, the project seeks to answer how architecture can create a space to be alone without experiencing isolationWhile the living spaces open to the tranquility and tranquility of the landscape, common areas encourage natural encounters and togetherness The goal is to create a balance where residents can take a break while also feeling harmonious with a close community.<\/p>\n<p>(T.O.N.<\/p>\n<p>H\u00f3lar is a social residency located between the volcanoes Eldfell and Helgafell. The low-rise structure is shaped by the landscape's contents, where two volumes provide shelter while maintaining a visual connection to the town and nature.<\/p>\n<p>Addressing the rise of social isolation the project explorations how architecture can facilitate solitude without isolation. The rooms open towards the landscape for reflection while shared spaces encourage spontaneous encounters. Hills investigates the balance between undrawal and belonging, creating a sanctuary where individuals can find stability while re-emaining part of a close-knit community.<\/p>\n<p><i>Photos: Claudio
