    Seamanship has long shaped society and business life in the West Indies It is accompanied by materials that have completed their mission and remain as waste, including fishing nets A channel is a project that works with a cycle of materials and new ways to use resources as raw materials instead of ending up as scrap It is proposed to open a shelter for volunteers and an open workspace where work is done through reuse and innovation Fish nets are examined here as raw materials that can be transformed and used further in a new context The design is based on the study of lava, where channels, textures and flows become inspirations for form and material use The project explores how materials can continue in a new channel.<\/p>\n

    Fishing has long shaped the community and economy of Vestmannaeyjar. Consequently, materials that have reached the end of their use remain as waste, including fishing nets. R\u00e1s is a project focused on circular recycling, exploring new ways to use materials as resources rating rather than letting them be some being known them become waste.
    \nThe proposal provisions a volunteer base alongside an open workshop dedicated to reuse and creative innovation. Discarded fishing nets are treated not as waste, but as a valuable material that can be reworked and given new purpose.
    \nThe design draws inspiration from lava forms, where its channels, texts, and flow shape both form and material use. The project explorations how materials can continue along a new path.<\/p>\n
