    Elli\u00f0aey is the third largest island in the West Indies and has long fascinated me because of its mysterious and isolated presence The island regularly appears in international headlines as \u201ethe most lonely island in the world\u201c or under mysterious titles that connect it to zombies or the ownership of musician Bjarkar On the island stands one structure, the hunting lodge of the Elli\u00f0aeyjarf\u00e9lag, where members spend seasonally egg-taking and puffin hunting The current house has reached the end of its life due to heavy pressure from the forces of nature.<\/p>\n

    The New Bool is designed as a response to the island's conditions, as the building falls to the landscape and becomes part of it Without water and electricity, the building collects and stores rainwater to maintain sustainable use.<\/p>\n

    Elli\u00f0aey is the third largest island in Vestmannaeyjar. The location fascinated me due to its mysterious solar presence, often appearing in headlines as \u201c The Loneliest Island in the World.\u201d Today only one structure stands on the island: the hunting lodge of the Elli\u00f0aey Association, used seasonally during egg collecting and puffin hunting. Having reached the end of its lifepan, the lodge reflectors a constant struggle against nature and has been rebuilt three times.<\/p>\n

    New B\u00f3l responses to the island's harsh conditions by killing from the hillside as part of the landscape itself, collecting and storing rainwater to sustain the building. Without access to water or electricity, the architecture is shaped by the need to independently meet these challenges through self-sustaining solutions.<\/p>\n
