    Nuances Skin<\/strong><\/h5>\n
    My project is inspired by the texture and qualities of the skin, elasticity and fragility, along with roughness and dryness As a person of African descent, it was important to me to place special emphasis on a variety of brown tones that reflect both the beauty and depth of different skin tones, and remind of the diversity that is often forgotten to show in the fashion world.<\/h5>\n
    I explored these ideas with a variety of materials and techniques and were some of the materials that spoke to me the most, including soft and elastic leather that mimics the natural flexibility of the skin, worn and torn leather is reminiscent of dry, flaky skin that dictates life experiences and traces of time. Also, I worked with thick and stiff leather that shows the strength and protective layer of the skin, along with light and flowing chiffon that reflects the sensitivity, softness and transparency that can characterize the skin in different conditions.<\/h5>\n
    The project is basically a personal study of the stories our skin holds about origin, identity, memories and relationships By moving these stories into clothing, I sought to create a work that speaks to perception and emotion, and opens up a new perspective on how we experience and interpret others' own skin and skin.<\/h5>\n
