It's safe to say that these language phenomena are an important part of Icelandic culture and history. I've always found idioms to have a strong pictorial meaning. That's why I found it a very exciting subject to interpret them and illustrate them in my own way I chose the idiom in this book as I thought they were good and exciting as subjects. Thus, it becomes a picture. The pictures are cut and cut out of colored paper, which I then combined into a picture book.<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u202f<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\"> <\/span><\/p>\n<p>\/\/<\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">One of the many things that has piqued my interest in the Icelandic language over the years is its rich collection of idioms and proverbs. These expressions are a vital part of Icelandic linguistic culture and history. I've always found idioms to have strong visual potential, which made it exciting to interrupt them through design. I selected the idioms and probbs in this book based on how vivid and visually engaging they felt. In this way, words become images.
