Rut was born on January 25, 2002. She started studying instruments at the age of 3 in the Suzuki violin program at Reykjanesb\u00e6r Music School, but switched at the age of 6 to cello and studied there with Gr\u00e9ta R\u00fan Snorrad\u00f3ttir until 2017. In 2018, Rut began studying at the Music High School and completed her advanced and leaving degree on cello under the guidance of Sigur\u00f0ar Bjarka Gunnarsson in 2022. After completing her studies there, the trip was called to the Iceland Academy of the Arts, where she now completes her Bakkal\u00e1rd course in cello playing under the guidance of Sigurgeir Agnarsson. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rut has participated in and helped organize diverse projects, including participating in the Youth Ensemble of the Iceland Symphony Orchestra and playing with the Reykjanesb\u00e6r Music School's Bell Choir. Along with that, she has played on various recordings by other musicians and two songs in the Television Singing Competition. Rut has also taken on teaching substitutes, both at Reykjav\u00edk Music School and Reykjanesb\u00e6r Music School.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
